I'm Still Here!

I just wanted to pop in real fast and tell you that I am still here! Life has been super busy lately and I haven't spent any time on the computer. My laptop has been dead for weeks and if you knew me, you would know that's not me!

We have completed our informative animal reports and are currently doing oral presentations on them.
I haven't shared a lot about this school year because I don't want to share negativity, but I got this POSITIVE card from a student on one of my worst days. It is so sweet.
Hope to be back soon with more!

  1. What a sweet note! It's been a rough year for me too, which is also why I haven't been blogging. Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving break!!

  2. Hello again Lana!

What a sweet note your student left for you. It is always good to have a reminder of the difference you are making in your students' lives, especially on bad days. I also like the idea of students doing a presentation on an animal. I remember doing a similar project on camels in elementary school. Hope your school year improves!

    On, and Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. Hello, Lana. I am a student at the University of South Alabama. I am in Dr. Strange's EDM 310 class. I love how your class is presenting! I wish I would have presented more when I was in grade school. Maybe I wouldn't be so nervous to get up in front of a class or group of people now. I also love the fact that you wrote your student a note and that she wrote you one to tell how much she appreciates you! That is a great student/teacher relationship!

  4. Hi Lana,
I know sometimes when you are very busy, it seems like time will never slow down to give you a break. I completely understand! Just keep pushing forward, and living life to the fullest. Animal reports sound like a very fun idea for your students. Also, the card your student gave you was very sweet. Even though you made a shorter post for the week, I think it was still great because it kept us tuned into your life. Great post! Please check out my Personal Blog, and our Class Blog.

I feel like everyone is getting so busy at the end of the year. For us finals are coming up and we move on to the next semester.

  6. Hello again!

It's Emily Rodrick from the University of South Alabama again. It seems like time is going faster and faster as the year comes to a close. I know I'm being swamped with finals, but that is nothing compared to what teachers have to prepare for. I hope things start to calm down for you. I also hope your presentations went well! Best of luck to all of your students. It's those notes from students that make teaching worth it. I hope you receive many more of those kind of letters! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
