It's only 2 weeks into summer vacation and I am already envisioning how I am going to make changes in my room. Last year I tried to incorporate blues and greens into my room. I saw this photo on Pinterest and loved it!

I have almost convinced myself to get rid of my teacher's desk and use my guided reading table as my teacher's area. However, I know I'll need more space for my "stuff". I also want to have a bookshelf where I keep supplies rather than the rolling cart they are in right now. So, off to Dollar Tree I went!
These blue and green baskets would look great in white bookcases like the one below.

While I was at the Dollar Tree, I went ahead and picked up a few school supplies and these cute bordered papers.
Those colors look great. I kept changing my mind last year about the colors I wanted and bought new baskets almost all year long. HaHa. I didn't realize how many I had until I packed up my room.... it's not pretty lol

Those are the colors of my classroom! I love the dollar store for baskets. I think they will really POP against the white- can't wait to see the final product! :)

Hi Lana,
ReplyDeleteI bought those very baskets at the dollar tree in my area this past August. I was worried that they wouldn't hold up during the year, but the kids treated them well and I'll be able to reuse them next year (if I don't change my mind about the colors). It's funny that we are in vacation mode but still looking ahead to the next year! Love it!
