I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! This has been my first official stay at home mom week and it's been good. Different, but good! We dove right in with "school" activities. I started with the letter E for elephant because that is his favorite animal.
{One} We've been working on the letter E in a variety of ways. I had previously printed this Do-a-Dot resource from Confessions of a Homeschooler. E really enjoyed doing this activity.
We also worked on the letter E using beans.
I was proud of the letter E's that he wrote! This may have been one of his least favorite activities, but is something I hope to continue to work on.
{Two} We've done a few fine motor skill activities!
{Three} We've had fun doing a few little crafts! Nothing major, but still fun.
{Four} We made a zoo!
{Five} I've spent some time thinking about how I am doing this "school" time with E. I have found lots of amazing resources at Confessions of a Homeschooler. My goal is to get these laminated and re-organize my materials before I decide how I want to proceed. Any helpful advice is welcomed!
It looks like you're having a ball! Love the zoo. :) My students (I teach English to blind students in Korea) enjoy making their letters with Play-Dough. I've also found some great ABC videos on YouTube too. If you want, I can email you my playlist.

How cool to have all that teacher knowledge and be able to stay home with your favorite "student" and teach him all that fun stuff. I think that would be every teacher mom's dream. Good for you! {and good for E!}

Hi Lana! Cute blog and love your post. How old is your son? I have a 2 & 1/2 year old and he is starting to show an interest in number and letters. I will check out the site you mentioned and will follow your posts to see your adventures with your little guy :)

ReplyDeleteGuess what? This is exactly what major companies are paying me for. They need to know what their customer needs and wants. So large companies pay millions of dollars each month to the average person. In return, the average person, myself included, answers some questions and gives them their opinion.
