Almost Friday...TGIF!

Y'all this first week back at school has been exhausting.  Good, but exhausting!  I will do a full re-cap later this weekend, but here are a few things we've done.

We've created anchor charts for our goals and expectations. The first two lead to great class discussions.

We've created charts that detail what Independent Reading looks like/sounds like.  All students signed it and we discussed how it's like a contract.

We also came up with small group rules for Math.
We determined what Writer's Workshop looks like/sounds like and outlined our expectations.
Until later!

  2. I love this! I am back to teaching 4th this year (thought it was third, then first but nope...lol). I have had a good chunk of these kids as 2nd graders so it will be good for me to see their responses to these and have a good discussion about each topic.

  3. I used those first two charts with my kiddos, too! I used them as a springboard for creating our class rules :) Hope you had a great first week back!!
